St. James Perique (Drake's)

St James Perique is a famous variety of tobacco grown exclusively in Saint James Parish, Louisiana, USA famed for it’s strong, powerful, and fruity aroma.

Originally cultivated by the native Coctawand and Chicasaw tribes. A local farmer named Pierre Chenet is credited with first processing the tobacco through the labour-intensive method of pressure fermentation in 1824.
