Pod system devices are amazing for their portability, convenience and ease of use. But if you’re not careful, they can break down quickly. If this happens to you, don’t worry! Here is a guide on what to do if your pod system stops firing or is producing a weaker vapor:
This can be caused by excess buildup of eJuice on the battery contacts, which can create a poor connection.
If you've been using your pod system for a while and it's starting to produce a weaker vapor, or if the battery is not firing when you activate it by inhaling or using the fire button, this could be caused by excess buildup of eJuice on the pod and/or battery contacts. This can create a poor connection between the battery and pod, thereby preventing it from firing or degrading the performance of the atomizer coil.
To fix this problem, clean off any buildup on the battery and pod contacts and soak up any eJuice in the pod compartment.
First, soak up any eJuice at the bottom of the pod compartment using a dry cotton or foam swab.
Be sure to use a pointed swab to clean all eJuice and dust from around the edges within the pod compartment
Lastly, clean off any buildup on the battery and pod contacts using a dry cotton or foam swab by moving the swab back and forth along the contacts 5-10 times
Do not use water or any other liquid to clean the battery as this may cause damage to internal components of the device.
Use a dry cotton or foam swab to clean the inside of your pod system.
Do not use alcohol, wet paper towels or wet cotton swabs on your pod system's battery contacts as this could result in corrosion or damage over time (e-liquid will also corrode some metals).
If your pod has eJuice on the outside of it, make sure to clean the side walls of the pod compartment of the device as well, and consider replacing the pod as the wick may have become defective.
Clean the side walls, edges and bottom of the pod compartment thoroughly with a dry cotton or foam swab.
You should also consider replacing the pod as the wick may have been overused or compromised during a dry hit, and therefore no longer able to contain the eJuice within the pod.
You can find inexpensive cotton cleaning swabs with one rounded tip and one pointed tip here, or you can find highly absorbent foam swabs here.
